We are really pleased to announce that Paul Hempstead was successful in being appointed our first Comic book intern with BHP. Paul will work with us on several projects over the summer before he returns to his studies to finish his 4th year at Duncan of Jordanstone school of Art and Design Dundee.
Paul started off as a graffiti artist and slowly developed a more illustrative style that has encouraged him to take things further within this field. On his his own practice, Paul says “I draw my inspiration from scottish youth culture the early 90′s and sub cultures like skateboarding and graffiti. I have done work for several businesses, spray paint commissions for clubs and social spaces and have displayed work in exhibitions.” he added “ and I’m very proud of the fact that I am the new intern at Black Hearted Press.”
Welcome aboard Paul, check out his work at: cargocollective.com/paulhempstead
